FAQS

How far from Current River are you located? We're located only 23 miles away from Current River. Simply continue on HH Hwy over the dam, turn onto HWY 34/21 and turn right onto HWY 60. Then it's just a straight shot!

Are you on the water? No. Other than the Marina, there is no business that is on the lake due to it being an Army Corps of Engineer lake.

Then how far are you from the lake?
We are at the foot of the Dam on the Spillway side which is walking distance to River Road Park. The nearest Marina (Clearwater Lake Marina) and the public boat docks is 1.5 miles at Piedmont Park.

What are your GPS cooridinates?37.137223, -90.763686

Are your cabins mobile homes? No, we have spent a lot of money remodeling and updating our cabins to accommodate families.

Are visitors allowed?
Sorry but no visitors are allowed. Our cabins, grounds, and amenities are for paying guests only.

Are pets allowed?
Sorry, no pets allowed. We just have had too much damage and complaints from other guests. Addiotnally, our insurance does not cover pets. When you check in and sign your reservation you agree to a $100.00 fee for having a pet in our cabin.

Why do I have to pay a non-refundable deposit?
Simply because we only have a few cabins and we have had many occurrences where people reserve a cabin then later cancel. This leaves us with an empty cabin and loss revenue especially since we have no doubt turned down other reservations. Please be sure of your reservation before confirming.

Do you have smoking cabins?
Sorry, all of our cabins are smoke free. In fact when you sign your reservation, you will be agreeing to pay a $100.00 cleaning fee if you smoke inside. You are welcome to smoke on the screened in porches or outside.

Can I consume alcohol?
Of course, we just don’t tolerate people drinking excessively and become an annoyance to people around you, including loud music, profanity, and other miss-behavior. See the rules for info.

I need to call my family but my cell phone doesn’t work?
We have a customer phone line in our office that you can use to make long distance calls (adults only).

Can I rent a boat?
Yes, Clearwater Lake Marina is a short 1.5 miles away and their telephone number is 573-223-7224.

Where can I buy supplies?
The Town and Country as well as Wal-Mart are in town 5 miles away. The Clearwater Lake Store is just around the corner.

What if we have a storm and lose power, will I get a refund?
So Sorry, but we have no control over the weather or other entities that supply our customers. We will however try our best to keep everything in working order.

Do I need to bring anything?
We supply everything as far as bedding and cooking utensils, we do ask that you clean your dishes before leaving and try to keep the kids off the beds when not sleeping. We also ask you to please bring your own pool towels and not use the resorts outside your cabin. If you need fresh towels or linens please bring your used ones to the office for replacement.

Can I have a campfire?
Yes, just please be safe and make sure your fire is out when you retire for the night. We have wood for sale on an honesty policy. Just take what you need and place the payment in the office.

Why are kids less than 5 years old free?
We encourage families at our place of business; families are the nucleus of our society. Yes it costs us extra since a child still uses the same amount of linens and sometimes makes messes, as well as for all the extras we provide just for children. But if they can leave here with a memorable family moment in time, it’s well worth it.

Are kids safe to be at the pool alone?
No, we do not provide a life guard and it is swim at your own risk. So parents please supervise your children when at the pool. We also ask you to please have fun but be sure your children are playing safe.

Because many families come to our resort expecting peace and quiet from their ....... It is also impossible to satifsy every individual as to the type and volume of music.
